r. Lisa Shen is board certified in pediatric dermatology and general dermatology.
Dr. Shen grew up in the Midwest and completed her undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Wisconsin as part of the Medical Scholars Program. As a medical student, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was also elected by her peers into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She served as President of the Medical Student Association and class Co-President, and she currently remains active as a board member of the Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association.
Pursuing her passion for pediatric dermatology, Dr. Shen completed her dermatology residency at Northwestern University, one of the leading dermatology departments in the country in pediatric dermatology. She then completed a pediatric dermatology fellowship at the Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (Northwestern), and after completing her fellowship, she was asked to serve as an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor. Dr. Shen joined the medical faculty of Boston University Medical School in 2018. She is currently the Associate Medical Director for Pediatric Dermatology and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Boston University School of Medicine. She also serves as the Chair of the Patient and Practice Advocacy Committee for the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD).

Dr. Shen and her family moved from Chicago to Boston in 2018. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Her hobbies include exploring new cities, baking, and taking dance related fitness classes.
