Pamela L. Scheinman, MD

Dr. Scheinman is a phi beta kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Brandeis University and received her M.D. from Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. She completed her residency in dermatology at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester, where she was chief resident. Dr. Scheinman was an attending physician at Tufts Medical Center for 21 years where she founded and directed their Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology Unit and was a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine. Most recently, Dr Scheinman established and directed the Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology Program and Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital for 7 years and was an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School.

A board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Scheinman has conducted a busy tertiary referral clinical practice and has managed thousands of patients with recalcitrant skin rashes over her more than 30 years in practice. She has mentored hundreds of medical students, residents and fellows and authored many publications.

I listen intently to all the clues my patients present with their histories and physical exams. I then use patch testing data from each patient to determine if allergens are contributing to their symptoms and hopefully cure or significantly improve their illnesses. I look forward to partnering with my patients to creatively and, when necessary, thinking outside-the-box, in order to treat them.
